“Prayer is a conversation called love that is savoured only in the heart and flows only from the heart, it cannot be stored in any other place but there, in the heart. It is to be taken slowly, gently - not rushed - and with deep joy that is given from one heart to another, between God and the soul, and the soul and God.”
“My Modern Day Saints”
Fr. Darren Brennan, a Catholic diocesan priest serving in the Irish diocese of Down and Connor. Since his ordination in 2008, Fr. Darren has been a spiritual guide and close family friend to Catherine and Marty Molloy. His deep connection with the Molloy family has given him a unique perspective on Catherine’s mystical experiences, which he has been privy to from the beginning.
Inspired by Catherine’s profound spiritual journey, Fr. Darren began composing the book “My Modern Day Saints” in 2013, balancing this work with his extensive pastoral duties. His involvement in the book includes providing insightful introduction and commentary, offering readers a deeper understanding of Catherine’s experiences and their spiritual significance.
Fr. Darren’s pastoral journey has seen him serve as curate (Assistant Pastor) from 2013 to 2019, first in the parish of Ballymena and later in Glengormley. He then ministered as Parish Priest (Pastor) in Dunloy and Cloughmills, Co. Antrim, before being installed as Parish Priest (Pastor) of St. Pauls in Belfast, where he continues to serve the local community.
